Hey guys! So, I went last weekend to get some books from Indigo, and I got four of them. So, I have been reading and have already finished two of them! So, I figured that I will do a part two once I finish the other two. Anyways, let’s dive into it! (Do I say that too much???)

The Infamous Frankie Lorde: Stealing Greenwich
Brittany Geragotelis
So, that was a very long name, that took me like 2 minutes to type (just kidding it didn’t actually, I type really fast). But anyways, I found this book cover very, hmm, intriguing (strokes my imaginary beard). I had seen it multiple times in Indigo, and finally I got it, and this book really met the standards I had set for it. One thing you should know about me is that I set standards for books. Like, if I saw the cover, didn’t really like it, read the blurb, didn’t arouse my curiosity, but then still bought it, (because a book’s a book right?) the standards will be set pretty low. But for this book, both the cover and the blurb fascinated me, so the standards were high, so the fact that this book exceeded these standards is very impressive (raises eyebrows alluringly). Anyways, to get to the gist of the book. Basically there’s this girl, named Frankie. Her dad is a world-class criminal, which has left her with, how do I say this, a kind of skill set. She can steal almost anything. But then her dad is caught (dun-dun-dun!!!) and she is sent to live with her uncle in Greenwich, Connecticut, who ironically, is a cop. Frankie has to learn what a teenager acts like, and try and plot a scheme, for one of the biggest crimes that Greenwich has EVER seen!

The City of Ember
Jeanne DuPrau
This book I really enjoyed. First off, loving that cover art. It literally seems to glow. Also, this book gives off a The Giver by Lois Lowry vibe. But, the plot of this book is kida basic. You want to know more about the plot you say? Ok well, let’s dive into it, (I definitely say that catch phrase too much). Basically, there’s this girl named Lina. She’s been going to school and studying hard for her entire life. But now she’s twelve, and it’s Assignment Day. Assignment Day is where all of the 12 year olds pick the job they do for the rest of their lives. Lina gets the job she does not want AT ALL. She got Pipeworker, which is basically where she has to work underground, in the sewers, fixing pipes all day. But luckily, a boy in her class, Doon, is willing to trade with her. Lina works peacefully for a couple of months, until she discovers an old letter in the back of her closet. She wants to read what it says, but she can’t because her sister Poppy, got to it first and chewed it up. Her Granny’s health is declining, and she’s the only family that Lina has, besides Poppy. But at the same time, her cities lights are starting to go out! Lina, and the entire city could be left in the dark forever. She needs to find out what this letter says, help her Granny get back to normal, and save her city. This book was very enticing, and I think a lot of you would enjoy it.
So, that’s a wrap for today. I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and you’re going to be getting a lot more, because I’m on March Break! Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
